From 1 to 18 October 2026, the Family Mountain is far from closing when the sun goes down. That’s when we switch on the lights. Look forward to fascinating moments of light, surprising installations and a varied programme of events.
The artistic design of Light & Landscape is by Julian & Noëmi Bräm | Julian Valentin Design Studio.
Through their art, they transform Sattel-Hochstuckli into a truly unique landscape of light.

The walk through the illuminated landscape takes around 40 minutes.

An Evening of Legends in All Directions from Mostelberg
Saturday, 3 October 2026 | 6.30 pm
On this special evening, renowned storyteller Guido Schuler takes you into the fascinating world of legends and myths. Together, you will walk from the mountain station towards the Hochstuckli ski lift, passing various light installations along the way. Fascinating moments of light and surprising scenes create a truly special atmosphere.
Listen to captivating stories and immerse yourself in a mysterious world where light, landscape and storytelling come together.

Guided hike to Hochstuckli

Sunday, 18 October 2026 | 6 pm
Experience an unforgettable autumn evening on a guided hike to Hochstuckli. Together with experienced guide Röbi Kessler, the approximately 2.5-hour tour takes you through the pre-Alpine landscape and back, passing various light installations along the way.

Bernhard Betschart
Natural yodler
A voice you may already know
Bernhard Betschart from Muotathal is well known far beyond the region. As a tenor and yodler with Heimweh, he is one of the distinctive voices of Swiss folk music. With Heimweh, he has won the Prix Walo as well as the Swiss Music Award three times.
On Mostelberg, he will perform his natural yodelling. A very special musical guest for a very special evening.

Combine a delicious dinner at Berggasthaus Mostelberg with a walk through the glowing autumn landscape.

- Schwyzer Saucisson on a bed of potatoes and leek
- Ägerital cheese tart with mixed salad
- Kronenmetzg Cordon bleu (pork), French fries and vegetables
- Hafechabis with boiled potatoes (a speciality from Schwyz)
- Venison stew with spaetzle and red cabbage
- Hot stone with venison entrecôte and game side dishes
- Wild vegetable side dish
