General Terms and Conditions (GTC)


1. General

The General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all services and products of Sattel-Hochstuckli AG including Berggasthaus Mostelberg, either free of charge or subject to a fee. Sattel-Hochstuckli AG is entitled to make use of the services of third parties for the optimal provision of services. This is done with the automatic consent of the customer. For tickets and services of third parties for which Sattel-Hochstuckli AG acts as seller or agent, the General Terms and Conditions of the respective company and its products shall apply - such as combination offers with partner companies, rental of sports equipment (sledges), etc.

1.1 Contract

The contract with Sattel-Hochstuckli AG shall come into existence with the order or purchase of a ticket or service or with the use thereof. These General Terms and Conditions shall apply by means of any order/purchase/claim as unconditional.

1.2 Duty of identification

At the request of the cashier/train/control personnel, the customer must identify himself with an officially valid ID (ID, passport, driving licence). Barcode cards, KeyCard, local identity card (citizen card), Half-Fare travelcard (Halbtax/GA) must also be presented.

1.3 Data carriers

The KeyCard enables contactless access to all Sattel-Hochstuckli AG lanes and lifts. It can be programmed with new validity data at any time and can therefore be used for several years. The KeyCard is available at all points of sale for a deposit of CHF 5.00. When the KeyCard is returned, the deposit will be refunded. Visibly defective KeyCards will not be replaced free of charge, nor will the deposit be returned. Barcode and one-way KeyCards are depot-less day/one-way tickets and are used for pedestrians, tour drivers and groups. Children up to the age of 5.99 (birthday key date) ski for free when accompanied by an adult. KeyCard obligatory. Exceptions to this are admissions to the Rondos Learning and Fun Land, where the published rate applies.

1.4 Data protection

Sattel-Hochstuckli AG undertakes to observe the applicable data protection legislation when handling and processing all customer data and customer usage data. Customer data are only used to maximize operational safety or in the interest of sales promotion, product design, crime prevention, abuse prosecution, collection of key economic data and statistics and invoicing. The Customer acknowledges and agrees that Sattel-Hochstuckli AG is entitled, in cases of joint provision of services in cooperation with third parties, to make customer data accessible to the third parties concerned to the extent that this is necessary in the interest of providing the services. Otherwise, the disclosure of customer data to third parties shall only be permitted with the express consent of the Customers allowed. An exception shall only apply if Sattel-Hochstuckli AG is legally obliged to pass on personal data to third parties.


1.5 Services

Sattel-Hochstuckli AG's services are set out in the description of services in the mountain railway/tariff prospectus or in the electronic media and other written offers. Special tariffs, special requests or ancillary agreements shall only form part of the contract if they have been confirmed in writing.

2. Prices and terms of payment

2.1 Prices

The prices for the tickets are published in the current mountain railway tariff brochure and/or on the Internet. Unless otherwise stated, the prices for mountain railway tickets are per person and include VAT. All multi-day tickets are linear and cannot be selected individually. This does not apply to point cards for the summer season. These must be redeemed by the end of the current season. Unused days expire and are neither refunded nor transferred to the next season. In the event of different rates in the individual brochures and electronic media, the provisions of the current publication on the Internet at www.sattel-hochstuckli.ch. shall apply. In addition to the ticket prices, Sattel-Hochstuckli AG will charge a KeyCard deposit of CHF 5.00. can be repeated used, with several offers at the same time and partly also with other offers from different companies within the industry. The deposit will be refunded upon return of the card.

2.2 Payment

Payment shall be made immediately upon conclusion of the contract. Ticket withdrawals on credit or invoice are generally not provided for. An exception shall be agreed in advance and shall only be valid if confirmed in writing by Sattel-Hochstuckli AG. In the case of payment on account, the customer undertakes to pay the invoiced amount within 20 days. Objections to the invoice must be raised in writing and justified within 7 days. If the customer does not meet his payment obligation within the payment period, he shall be in default upon expiry of this period without further reminder and shall pay default interest of 5%. If payment is not made even after further reminder, Sattel-Hochstuckli AG shall be entitled to discontinue all services to the customer without further notice. Sattel-Hochstuckli AG reserves the right to demand advance payment in full or in part for services rendered. Other agreements between the customer and Sattel-Hochstuckli AG shall remain reserved. Bank transfer and Cheque fees shall be borne by the sender.

2.3 Currency

Prices are always quoted in Swiss francs (CHF). The Euro conversion is one to one. Change is always paid in Swiss francs.

2.4 Price and service changes

Sattel-Hochstuckli AG expressly reserves the right to change service descriptions and price quotations on the Internet as well as in brochures and price lists to the date of the conclusion of the contract.

3. tickets and subscriptions

3.1 Validity

All tickets and subscriptions are personal and non-transferable. Exceptions are specified in writing in special "Sponsoring Contracts". Season and annual tickets are provided with a photo for internal control. For evening trips, night offers and events outside regular operating hours, only special season tickets are valid. All other subscriptions and discounts are not valid. There are separate tariff regulations for public night services.

3.2 Age groups

Children up to and including 5.99 years travel free of charge. Excludes admission to the Kinderland, bouncy castle, tubing track. Here again the corresponding tariff applies. Reduced child tariffs from 6th to 15.99. Birthday as well as reduced youth tariffs from 16th to 19.99. Birthday in winter (Skiing & Sledding). Adult rates apply in winter for ski & sled tickets from the 20th birthday otherwise from the 16th birthday. Senior rates from the 64th resp. 65th birthday.

3.3 Groups

A group is considered a group if at least 10 tickets are purchased and paid for at the same time. A group is defined as an association, club, company or officially recognised school. The group leader must purchase and pay for all tickets together. The Sattel-Hochstuckli AG will not be able to sell group tickets individually. The tickets must have the same validity area and the same validity period. Detailed information on attractive group discounts is available at the point of sale.

3.4 Definition of locals

Valid for all inhabitants of Sattel, Unterägeri, Oberägeri, Allenwinden, Morgarten, Baar, Steinen, Steinerberg. You get discounted conditions on the gondola lift and season ticket.

3.5 Passengers with a disability

For ascents and descents for persons with reduced mobility, the normal fare must be paid. Accompanying persons receive a free ticket if the person with a handicap has the the accompanying card of the SBB.

3.6 Loss or theft

In the event of loss or theft of a multi-day ticket or subscription, direct compensation will be paid upon presentation of the purchase receipt. Replacement will only be made after appropriate clarification if the ticket has not already been used. A processing fee of CHF 50 will be charged for issuing the replacement ticket.

3.7 Refunds

In the event of an accident or illness on the part of the cardholder, the subscription must be deposited with an issuing office as soon as possible, but no later than 14 days after the accident or illness, together with a certificate of identity (also through third parties possible). If the subscription can no longer be used, the issue of a medical certificate, which must be issued by a practicing doctor or a hospital, which does not have a medical certificate, will be accepted for the days used. The accident day is relevant for the calculation of the reimbursement. No reimbursement claim exists: Single trips, half-day, one-day, promotional and special tickets. The percentage of refunds for seasonal and annual tickets is calculated as follows:

75 % of the purchase price by 15 December
until 31 December 60 % of the purchase price
until 15 January 50 % of the purchase price
until 31 January 35 % of the purchase price
until 28/29 February 20 % of the purchase price
no refund from 1 March

Refunds can be made in cash or in the form of a voucher. Refunds are only possible until the end of the current season. The percentage of refunds for summer season tickets will be charged as follows:

70 % of the purchase price by the end of June
50 % of the purchase price by the end of July
30 % of the purchase price by the end of August
no refunds from the beginning of September.

Refunds are only possible until the end of the current season. No refunds for personal reasons, early departure, adverse weather or snow conditions. Reduced rail services (especially early and late season) are reserved and do not entitle to refunds.

3.8 Misuse / Falsification

The ticket office, railway or contracted control personnel are entitled to carry out ticket checks at any time. The customer must identify himself with an officially valid ID card (ID, passport, driving licence). Any misuse of tickets, in particular the transfer of lift tickets or changes to the information contained therein, shall result in immediate withdrawal without compensation. In addition to the tariff-based tax of the unjustifiably carried or invalid ticket, a surcharge of CHF 150.00 is levied in accordance with Art. 16 of the Federal Transport Act of 4 October 1985. A valid ticket must also be purchased. In addition, Sattel-Hochstuckli AG reserves the right to prosecute the police. The holder of a ticket is responsible for ensuring that his ticket does not allow third parties to misuse it.

4. Lifts and pistes

4.1 Malfunctions in the provision of services/operational setting

Operational restrictions or stoppages due to force majeure such as wind and weather influences, strikes or official orders, operational disruptions (e.g. as a result of technical problems, delays in operation, defects or power interruptions) do not entitle you to a refund or compensation.

4.2 Ruthlessness/misconduct of the Ticket Purchaser

In the event of reckless conduct, violation of the present regulations or disregard of the instructions of the railway, ticket or control personnel, in particular disregard of the FIS rules, disregard of signals, instructions and barriers as well as when driving on closed pistes or resting areas for game and forest protection zones, etc., Sattel-Hochstuckli AG may withdraw the ticket of the ticket holder. Outside the official operating hours, the runs/pistes are closed and driving on the piste is prohibited. The last piste check will be carried out after the closure of the mountain railways. Anyone who endangers safety and order in the winter sports area as a result of drunkenness or drug abuse may be temporarily or permanently excluded from using the lifts and winter sports slopes. The ticket price will not be refunded. Anyone who damages or contaminates SHAG facilities or equipment must pay the repair and cleaning costs. In the event of deliberate damage/pollution is subject to prosecution.

4.3 Fun sports equipment

For safety reasons and in accordance with applicable SKUS rules, all types of fun sports equipment are only transported on the Stuckli Rondo revolving gondola lift.

4.4 Slope markings

The slopes are marked on both sides.

4.5 FIS Rules

The 10 FIS rules of conduct apply to all snow sports guests (www.fis-ski.com).

4.6 Skiing with small children piggybacked

It is forbidden to ski with small children in a piggyback backpack on all slopes and lifts of the Sattel-Hochstuckli AG.

5. Accident in the winter sports area

If a ticket purchaser suffers an accident in the winter sports area, the Sattel-Hochstuckli AG rescue service may be called upon. The recovery costs will be invoiced directly by Sattel-Hochstuckli AG according to expenditure. In addition, third party costs such as ambulance transport, taxi, air rescue etc. may be incurred. It is the responsibility of the patient to make any reimbursements.

6. Rental objects

The rental of sports and other equipment is regulated by means of individualised rental agreements and the provisions contained therein. The GTC are always an integral part of such rental agreements concluded with Sattel-Hochstuckli AG. The lessee shall be liable for grossly negligent damage to the rented items. In the event of theft, an official police report is indispensable. Sattel-Hochstuckli AG currently offers sledge and scooter rental.

7. complaints

Any complaints by ticket purchasers regarding the services provided by Sattel-Hochstuckli AG must be addressed to SHAG without delay. If no immediate notification is made, the Ticket Purchaser shall lose any claims against Sattel-Hochstuckli AG.

8. Internet 

All information published on the Internet is without guarantee. Sattel-Hochstuckli AG accepts no liability for Internet failures, damage caused by third parties, imported data of any kind, in particular viruses, worms, Trojan horses, etc. Sattel-Hochstuckli AG shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever arising out of or in connection with the use of this website. The Internet pages may contain technical inaccuracies or typographical errors. Sattel-Hochstuckli AG shall in no case be liable for any direct, indirect, special or other consequential damages resulting from the use of Sattel-Hochstuckli AG's Internet pages or any Internet pages linked thereto. Any liability for loss of profit, interruption of operations, loss of programs or other data in information systems is also excluded.

9. Liability

Sattel-Hochstuckli AG's liability for personal injury and damage to property shall be limited to those cases prescribed by Swiss law. Liability for accidents outside the secured and marked winter sport slopes and accidents on hiking and tobogganing trails.is completely excluded.


Sattel-Hochstuckli AG shall not be liable for any accidents resulting therefrom:

  • Disregard of markings and information boards
  • Leaving the secured and controlled pistes
  • Failure to comply with instructions and warnings of the railway personnel or the piste and rescue service
  • Disregard of further warnings
  • Negligent or intentional behaviour on lifts and ski slopes
  • Insufficient piste preparation

10. Insurance

The Sattel-Hochstuckli AG recommend that all ticket purchasers provide supplementary insurance cover such as liability insurance, cancellation insurance, travel accident and travel health insurance, extra return travel costs, insurance, etc.

11. Amendments to the General Terms and Conditions (GTC) and the other contractual provisions

Sattel-Hochstuckli AG reserves the right to amend these GTC at any time. Should the customer be considerably disadvantaged by the amendment of the GTC, he shall be entitled to terminate the contract as of the effective date of the amended GTC. The right of termination shall expire upon the amendment coming into effect.

12. final provisions

Notifications by e-mail shall be deemed to have been made in writing. All contracts concluded with Sattel-Hochstuckli AG under these GTC shall be governed exclusively by Swiss law. The exclusive place of jurisdiction for any disputes arising from such contracts shall be 6417 Sattel. The German edition is binding.
